JCL REPLY: sounds like you are going to needed to adjust the valves. you can point you mouse to the download instruction, then click on the Valves adjustment and it will show you how to adjust the valves.

Had crashed about two months ago so it now has scraps all along the left side of it (on the corner left side of the panel, bottom of the strip guard, cracked turning light cover, broke the side mirror, bent back the brake handle, and cracked the trunk) Just wanted to know if these parts are available here. Also, I have two 250As that won't start and there isn't any power to the dash. Both fuses are okay and I swapped out a CDI on one and still would not start/turn over. Please let me know of why you think it's doing this. Also, a customer brought me a 250A that is hard to start and stalls at stoplights. It has 3500 miles on it. Should I clean the carburetor or replace it. Or should I adjust the valves, or put an electric fuel pump in it? HAVE HAD JCL MP250A FOR OVER A MONTH AND HAVE PUT 550 MILES ON IT. CHANGED THE OIL AT 500 MILES. RUNS GREAT EXCEPT AT LOWER SPEEDS (30'S) FOR WHICH IT SEEMS TO SPUTTER. I'VE NOTICED THAT THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE SCOOTERS . MY BIG PROBLEM IS THAT WHEN I RIDE IT TO WORK (I WORK MIDNIGHTS), IT OFTEN HAS MORNING DEW ON IT WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START IT BEFORE LEAVING WORK PARKING LOT. DIFFICULT STARTING AT THIS TIME, BUT ONCE STARTED, RUNS GREAT. THIS HAPPENS EVEN WHEN I USE MY BIKE COVER. IS NOT A PROBLEM WHEN PARKED IN MY GARAGE. IS THERE ANY SUGGESTIONS TO HELP THIS. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A MOISTURE PROBLEM. ALSO, WHAT IS THE EXACT TYPE OF BRAND ENGINE AND WHERE MIGHT I PURCHASE SOME PERFORMANCE UPGRADES. I WOULD LOVE TO FIT IT WITH A PERFORMANCE EXHAUST SYSTEM. There is gas getting to the carb! VAC lines are ok. What is a huge mystery is that if I spray starter fluid into the carb with the throttle wide open so that the butterfly is open (taking off the cab top cover) and then close the throttle and try to start I get nothing. Name:Tony Cavalieri Time:2009-04-06 08:46:25 I have been reading about all the troubles you guys are having with hard starting, stalling at lights, rebuilding carbs etc. Forget about everything you have been reading about fixes for these problems. I had the same problems. Here is the fix for all your problems. Go to advance Discount Auto parts and buy a 42s electric fuel pump. 4 feet of 1/4" gas line. and 4 clamps. Also get an electric rocker switch, for shutting off the gas if you have to. Take the time (about 4 hours) to remove the vacuum fuel pump and install the electric one in the same place. very easy. Starting and stalling problems are gone. Done. We have done this on 4 bikes so far with excellent results. It has been decided that there is not enough vacuum to pump the gas. the problems are not the valves and not the carbs. You can call me if you like. 407-869-9019. Name:KING ALLEN Time:2009-03-24 22:47:16 I purchased a mp250a from Mini Bikes Plus out of Shreveport La and I love it I get an average of 70.13 mpg and drive this thing between 40 and 80 miles per hour where ever I go I have 4100 miles on it and its less than 6 months old the only problem I have with it is that about every 900-1000 miles I have to have the carb rebuilt or replaced which is not coverd under warrenty it cost me 130.00 for labor to rebuild and the 2 carbs in stalled cost over 300.00 each time what can I do to prevent this problem when I reach 5000 miles next month JCL REPLY:

She laid it down, but still got a bad case of "Road Rash". Her upper left arm will probably have a strangely shaped & permanant scar. You need to do more to stress how to lay it down in order to avoid a head-on collision, as well as how to keep from being dragged down the street. Some lawyer named M. Bart said she can sue you for contributory negligence because you didn't disclose the above info. Be careful, he is very big in New Orleans and usually wins big, in both state & Federal Court.
